The Never Ending Story
“The Never Ending Story” directed by Wolfgang Peterson was truly a never ending story! You might be saying there is no such thing as a never ending story, because the movie has to end sometime. By the end of the story, you get why and how all of this happened. Like the common saying “it happens for a reason” really means something in this movie. Without knowing that saying, you might not get the movie!

Starting out with a real life of a young boy, and for it to transfer to a fantasy is kind of cool. But how what happens in the boys’ life effects what happens to the boy in the story, just shocked me! I saw this movie different than maybe another student; personally I didn’t like the movie because it was very unrealistic and had a corny script to me, but it still got the point across, like with the characters.

The characters don’t have much emotion but if you really listen to what they are saying it makes more since at the end. There are more movies like that, if you don’t pay attention to the whole movie, you don’t understand the ending.  For instance, the movie and book “The Notebook” directed by Nick Cassaventes or the move “Paranormal Activity directed by Oren Peli. Personally, my favorite character is the horse. Even though it is a small part, it has a lot of meaning to it. Like being a tool and friend to Atryu, and being a support system. But when they get to the sea of sadness, Artex started to sink, he was letting the sadness get to him!
Watching the movie was difficult, but it really had a lot of symbols and meaning behind it. If our world didn’t have imagination, we would have no fun, or color, maybe even life outside normal days. Some people think that imagination is for kids, but really anyone can dream and anyone can imagine, it makes our world a better place!
